Our first KENSINGTON EATS attempt was with Noodles Fresh, which is owned and operated by Wenyan and Tom Peterson whose son attends Hilltop Elementary School.
The success of their original location at 10042 San Pablo Ave in El Cerrito allowed them to open up a beautiful second location at 2430 Shattuck Ave. in Berkeley at the end of 2019. The timing was not ideal considering the pandemic, but this was exactly the type of restaurant we wanted to work with.
Wenyan and Tom have already given much to the Kensington community, so when I brought up the idea of Kensington Eats they helped make the initial venture a huge success! Noodles Fresh couldn't have made it any easier not to mention the food was delicious. The pilot program of Kensington Eats was proven and we were inspired to keep going!
Kensington Eats received a lot of interest after being mentioned in the December issue of the Kensington Outlook (read about it here)! To make sure those NEW to our KE culinary community had a great experience, we returned to our FIRST FEATURED restaurant NOODLES FRESH!
We tried some new items, but a favorite dish that we've kept both times was the Coral Beauty Fish - a filleted and fried white fish with sweet sauce on the side. Wenyan packed it in open foil so it was still light and crispy even after we did our deliveries.
Thanks Noodles Fresh! We'll be in touch later in 2021 when we feature you for a THIRD time!
Guys comment here your favorite food of Kensington Eats!
